The New Park Street Pulpit, Volume I contains the earliest published sermons of Charles H. Spurgeon’s London ministry. Preached primarily at New Park Street Chapel in Southwark during 1855, these sermons capture the preaching of the young Spurgeon as his ministry began attracting widespread attention.
The sermons address many of the themes that would characterize Spurgeon’s preaching throughout his life, including the character of God, the person and work of Christ, salvation by grace, faith, the Holy Spirit, the church, Christian perseverance, and the proclamation of the gospel.
